THE ART OF FLYING

 It seems impossible to imagine how a person can even fly over the sea without a machine, but the truth is that today it is possible to do, and yes, it is beautiful to see it. That is possible thanks to Foil.

A Foil is a machine that you connect into a board, like a windsurf board and with your sail you can literally fly. Four years ago started a competition in Foil and it was the beginning of a beautiful sailing world, and also the federation has achieved to create an olimpic class, the IQ Foil.

When the IQ Foil started to be an olimpic class, It caused the level to increase because people wanted to show the world this beautiful machine. This year is the first olympics of the IQ Foil, and I am proud to say that I compete in this sport since three years and that is the most beautiful sport.

Doing exercise while you are enjoying the sea, your enviroment, fly over the sea withuot polluting It, this is art. Also all the competitions are with people from all over the world, so you can learn about their cultures, and visit their seas and lakes, It is a very satisfying experience.

The structure of the Foil is very similar to the structure of a plane, It has a mast of carbon (a very expensive material) and two wings, one on the front and the other one on the back, also in the back wing you can modify the angle depending of the wind and the waves, the art of foiling have a lot of differents types of combination depending on the conditions, and It is not easy to combinate and find the best way to win a race, you have to train and meet and to prove differents combinations... every sailor is different.

Finally, to be a good sailor in IQ Foil It is so difficult, but you do not have to be the best, you can enjoy It if you train and focus on yourself.

In conclusion, the IQ Foil It is not a very common sport but if you can try it or just to see the flying boards, I think that It is worth it.
